About IIPE

The Indian Institution of Plant Engineers (IIPE), a Premier Professional body with its Head Quarters at Chennai was formed in the year 1971, out of long felt need by practicing Plant Engineers and Managers .

Main objective of this Institution is to prepare the Plant Engineers to meet the challenges of Plant and Machinery problems in the industry & to improve their knowledge & Skill sets by promoting, Inculcating, Propagating and establishing the latest state of art in the Plant Engineering field.

IIPE is a Non - Profit Organization . IIPE has many Chapters all over India. Through its wide network of Chapters and Divisions it has been conducting regular programmes like seminars, workshops, monthly technical lecture programs and meet - the - manufacture programs. These programs are conducted for the benefit of the Engineering Society addressing their requirements as well as programs to hone their existing skills to match the industrial demands and requirements.

IIPE is also a Member Association of Engineering Council of India (ECI) and represented in the Board of Governors. ECI is an apex body of engineering profession in India with 40 members including 8 government departments (like NITI AYOG, NBA, CSIR, AICTE etc) and 32 Indian engineering professional institutions / associations representing practically all streams of Engineering.
